I would suggest that our career military men meet many of these ideals I'd say especially those in the Special forces: Seals, Green Berets, Rangers, Recon meet the criteria. At least the pre-Tokugawa Shogunate would be akin to our SF military members. Post Tokugawa, The Samarai were more court antourage - so maybe the post-Tokugawa Shogunate would be everyone inside the beltway.

Man we all have to put on armour when we go out into this world and yes there are many jobs that are similar to the samurai from centuries ago. The samurai for me is about honor, integrity, and righting wrongs (sounds a bit like the west's Robin Hood). Check it out, there are many jobs that have this as a basis.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
