First of all, reserving your copy does nothing but reserve it. Meaning, It's like an invitation to a party you receive and you are RSVPing. Microsoft will push the update down to you when the software is released.
So no, reserving does not remove your files. Second, after they push the update down, your files still will not be removed. Microsoft stated in their press briefing that all files and software programs installed would remain unharmed by this update.
However, it would be in your best interest to back those files up (files, not software) anyway. As I've learned over the years in the computer business, unexpected issues can and do occur and while this update from Microsoft is not supposed to hurt files, something still may go wrong during the update process that could be detrimental to your files. This is why it's always smart to back things up before commencing with such a change that way you are protected.
The old adage applies here: "better safe than sorry.
...I have a lot of important files and documents on my computer that cannot be deleted..." If you really mean what you say- "they can not be deleted"......then you should ALREADY have them BACKED UP! You better back them up before you do anything else.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
