Is there a special oil for the Supercharger in a 91' Pontiac Bonneville SSE and how do you put it in?

I have 2 1992 Bonnevilles that were leaking the supercharger oil out in short order. The replacement seal is a DAE 20x47x70 MM. GM replacement oil is part #12345982.

The service manual at the GM dealer says a synthetic oil is OK. Any machanic should be able to replace the seal and refill with oil. The fill cap screw is under the plastic shield and is torx.

The pulley must be removed with a small gear puller. Hold the pulley with a link wrench or pipe wrench to remove the nut and replace. An air impack is a total NO,NO.

Can cause internal damage. (Fairly tight, DO NOT POUND ON ANY PARTS as this may cause internal damage). Clean up any marks on the pulley with a fine file after you are finished and replace the belt.

"Below has not been added by me, You will not find any info in your owner's manual, Only in a Service manual ". 50+ years machanical, Head Mechanic at a 320 boat marina, Life time of Electronics, 20 Years Now electronics Business. Still doing machanics as well".

"Rob koop". This information can be found in your owner's manual. If you do not have one, then I suggest you get one.

You need an owner's manual to know what items to service and when, and for specifications. You can order one from a dealer, find one at a salvage yard, eBay, or one of these sites: http://www.carownermanual.com/ http://vehicleownersmanual.com/ http://www.vintage-books.com/owncat.htm For more specific answers without buying a manual that doesn't cover superchargers check out the following website: http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/ Hope this helps. I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
