Is there a way to see how many total people have joined the Askville community? (To see how things are growing)?

(To see how things are growing) This is a great site and concept, but it would be nice to see how things are growing and how many people I am dealing with when getting responses from questions... No.... Sorry, but we aren't privy to any of the site statistics like that. Askville, to my knowledge, has never revealed that kind of info. I know that there is a "regular" core of about 100 who are pretty active, and hundreds more who just pass through and maybe ask/answer a few questions or who take a look and never come back.

I'm sure it's growing, as it's changed dramatically since I first came here in December. The only indication of numbers is in the "look for new friends" area in your My Askville, when it says there are 200+ Males and 200+ Females... You could try emailing them at Feedback, but I can't guarantee they will answer your question. But if they do--let us know!

Alot of us are curious about it and its a question that has been asked numerous times here.

No... No, Askville knows this info, but they are not sharing. I have seen lots of new people over the last few months, but there is no way to say how many in total have joined. Now for active Askvillers, we have done two informal census counts, however, each time we have go less than 100 active people to find the question and post on the discussion board.

Here is the latest: askville.amazon.com/askville/AnswerViewe... .

And the Askville Community Award goes to.....

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
