There are indeed online archaeology courses that can help students like you learn the subject. For instance, there is the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), who offers two "free" Archaeology OpenCourseWare programs: 1) "The Human Past: Introduction to Archaeology" and 2) "Research Seminar in Deep Sea Archaeology. " Both online courses are available to download at ocw.mit.edu/courses/.Just scroll down the list of MIT courses to find the course you want in Archaeology and click its link to see what the course is all about.
Then, click on the link (on the left-side of the computer screen) that says "Download Course Materials. " At this point, you are prompt to download the course materials; which means, you will have all of the course content for that course on your PC for free. It's that simple.
Alternatively, there is “The Prehistoric Archaeology of the Aegean (http://projectsx.dartmouth.edu/history/bronze_age/index.html) from Dartmouth College, which is a free Web tutorial that contains 29 lessons on archaeology topics. There is even a handy glossary link at the Web site to turn to learn those words associated with archaeology that you may be unfamiliar with or want to know more information about.
The schools I have mentioned thus far do offer great prep-courses, but if you would rather read about archaeology and keep up-to-date with archaeological collections that go on in parks and nationwide, then, check out the National Park Service (NPS) Archaeology program (http://www.nps.gov/history/archeology/collections/index.htm). Otherwise, for the latest news in archaeology see the Archaeological Headlines (http://www.archaeology.org/news/), or see the Society for Archaeological Sciences Web site (http://www.socarchsci.org/), which is an international association for Archaeological Sciences (hence its name), that encourages data-sharing among archaeological scientists. I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
