A combination of the two first answers is correct. Yes, there are a lot of unpaid bills and those costs get passed on to everyone else, but don't let the hospitals fool you about their financial health and viability. They aren't losing money.
Not even close. Corporate execs continue to make huge, inflated salaries and bonuses. Money gets reinvested into the facility into fancy new remodels to make the building look like a spa/hotel, etc. It sucks.
I hate our health care system. But I didn't get into nursing for the system. .
. I got in because I wanted to care for people, and I'm doing that. Sometimes I have to just let some of the BS roll off me and focus on what's important and do my job as well as I can do it.
Welcome to corporate medicine. The money is going into investor pockets and the give a crap about the working conditions or the care that the patients get. The patients and the staff are victims.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
