Is there any need for memory enhancing software for MAC OS X 10.5.2 Leopard and do they exist for it?

What exactly do you need with "memory enhancing software" There is software that let you train your brain and your ability to memorize things. If you need that you have to decide for yourself and can't be answered by me via a website like Askville. Personally I think it's nothing bad and you should just try out this kind of software, actually I really think to buy a Nintento DS just for that, but my job keeps my brain trained anyway ;-)If you think of software that should enhance the memory inside your Mac (like compression or make it faster).

This software can in general be summarized as so called "snake oil" i.e. The promises the seller is giving is rarely be kept. So if you need more or faster memory you will not come around buying the hardware.

Sources: My opinion .

1 No, Mac OS X is great at managing RAM and really doesn't need additional software to manage it. If you feel like you need memory management software, you might just need more RAM. It is extremely cheap these days and easy to install on Macs.

2 If you have lots of programs running and are experiencing slowdown, I would recommend running less programs. :-)I don't know what "a lot of programs" means to you, half a dozen, 2 dozen, etc. If it is enough to fill up the RAM then the lag is probably from writing to the hard drive and back as it moves stuff around in RAM.It is most likely not due to the video card of VRAM at all. That isn't taxed very much unless it's 3D applications like games.

How much time does a mac take to update software.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
