Is there some gizmo you can use so that you can hook up an XBox 360 to a computer monitor?

By that I mean a regular external monitor (including flat-screen monitors). It would seem that computer monitors have more than enough resolution. I'm also **not** looking for things that let you play xbox360 on your computer screen as a floating window where the xbox360 output gets routed and translated by some process on your computer.

Those tend to introduce a delay. Just looking for something that lets you use your computer monitor in place of an HDTV. Oh, that's also important, it'd be great if it could take advantage of the HDTV signal coming from the xbox360.

It depends on the monitor! I've got a computer monitor (made by Sony) that actually accepts TV cables. You should check your computer monitor's manual.

Otherwise you can just buy a VGA cable: xbox.com/en-US/hardware/x/xbox360vgahdca... The nice thing about that VGA cable is that it also has digital audio out, so you can hook the 360 up to a surround sound system if your PC has one. That's a better solution than something like this: computercasesandcables.com/ccc/CV-25120?... Because VGA cabling doesn't carry audio. So you wouldn't be able to hear the games, even though they'd be on a larger screen.

Happy gaming! Dan .

Here's what I've found You can use some monitors depending on the resolution. You need an Xbox 360™ VGA HD AV Cable which you can find here: xbox.com/en-US/hardware/x/xbox360vgahdca... I also found this on coldgorged. Org's blog: coldforged.org/archives/2006/11/10/xbox-... Q.

Can I use my computer monitor as my display for the Xbox 360? A. Yes, depending on the type of monitor you have.

And you will likely be able to play games in high definition too. The Xbox 360 supports the following resolutions when using the VGA AV connector: 640×480, 848×480, 1024×768, 1280×720, 1280×768, 1280×1024, 1360×768, and 1920×1080. In order to use your monitor you will most likely need to purchase the Xbox 360 VGA HD Cable and connect it to your monitor’s VGA port.

If you don’t have a free VGA port on your monitor, you will either need to switch back and forth or purchase a VGA switcher. Support for 1920×1080 was added during the Fall Dashboard Update in October 2006. There are many reports of some incompatibilities with various nominally 1080p displays including the Dell 2405.

Hopefully this gets you started down the right path. Good luck! I just hooked up my new 360 the other day and it looks swwweeeettt!

Yes, there are and appears they support higher video resolutions, check review first though. Here are two that I found: tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools.... The other is at Buy.

Com: buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=203947748&SearchEngine=PriceGrabber&SearchTerm=203947748&Type=PE&Category=Comp&dcaid=15890 and the price is $11.50 after rebate and with free shipping. This is hard to believe, but it is worth looking into. I have owned one of the lower resolution devices and my son used it for his XBox and Nintendo.

The resolution on the lower end devices not very good, but this sound much better. Here are reviews: pricegrabber.com/rating_getprodrev.php/m... Here are some other prices: froogle.google.com/froogle?q=Kworld+TV+B.... Happy hunting.

Neoya or Startech A company called Neoya has been producing such adapters for quite some time. I had very good results using their original adapter with the first generation XBox. Their new device works with any console that has component video output.

The web site is x2vga.com/. Another device that does the same thing is Startech Comp2VGA. A friend of mine purchased it a couple of months ago, and he seems satisfied.

startech.com/Product/ItemDetail.aspx?pro.... Don’t buy it from this site though - you can find it for under $60 elsewhere.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
