Is there some preferred order for taking upper-division courses?

A complete description of each course can be found in the Catalog or on the Department's web site. This includes recommended and prerequisite courses. As you might suppose, 200-level courses are intended to be taken earlier than are 300-level courses, and 400-level courses e.g. , 431 seminars are restricted to juniors and seniors and often build on related 300-level courses.

This being said, there is no tracking of courses; so, you may take them in the order that makes sense to you and your advisor. Keep in mind that one 200-level course can be applied toward the "5th unit," as can one 431 seminar, or any number of "half courses," i.e. , the lecture-only portion of a 300-level course.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
