Is USA still in economic crisis mode?

The USA is entering the most dangerous economic crises in it's history. While many of the citizens are "unaware" of just how critical this time is... they soon will be. Perhaps holiday shopping is providing a much needed diversion for most people and at least they can forget the high unemployment, inflation, and currency devaluation that is coming at least for a while. It is probably a good thing for everyone to enjoy the holiday season.

The new year is close but we still have a bit of the old left yet.

Well let's see: most unemployed will likely never work again, their unemployment benefits are running out so they may have to live on air, the GOP wants to take away Social Security, I'd say though, America's problems are par for the course.

At least you guys aren't like ireland, getting a "friendly" loan of several billion just to stop the banks from collapsing.

Absolutely...just because the economy continues to function does not mean that it is functioning in a healthy manner. In fact, much like an extreme large corporation, that functionality becomes more an effort of sheer momentum that it is anything else. A large corporation which is bankrupt will take a very long time to wind down because it has so much momentum in the economic structure.

The same is true of the government. But regardless of which we speak, the same truths are evident in either case. When we do not live within our means, we eventually fail and those around us fail with us.

We must gain control of the fiscal effort of our government and bring our spending into balance with our revenue streams. Otherwise, the only solution is to continue to raise taxes on the citizens until there is not longer anything to tax. Tax and spend theory does not lead to economic health.

Conservation of revenue and limited spending is the only sane solution. WB.

This economic crisis is expected to get even more worse in near future and more and more banks are going to be defaulters in the next upcoming days.

Yes...but things are getting better. It will take another year, though, for the unemployment rate to go down.

Nobody knows. And that's the problem. Too many are still unemployed.

Are people spending for Christmas and then entrenching? That's what I'm doing. I'm buying gifts for loved ones and then hoarding my money for 2011.So don't let the overwhelmed parking lots fool you.

Keep in mind that the U.S. Is broke. Literally broke by the trillions of dollars. The EU isn't much better with Spain's collapse a near certainty.

Advice: Hang onto your money; pay off outstanding debts; live low and stay lean. The impending global disaster of 2012 won't come soon enough.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
