It's not anymore complicated then previous versions. If you know a geek and just want something for web surfing, then go with Ubuntu. You will be safer.
If not , It will be like xp with some vista features.
No, Windows 7 is very intuitive and easy to use. Some XP users might need some time to get used to the new interface, but it only takes about 15 minutes or so. A really good thing about Windows 7 is that it's very customizable too.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
