Does anyone believe in their religious teachings one hundred precent," Yes, many people do. "... leaving no room for personal opinion and beliefs?" No, they typically interpret their religious teachings in order to fit what they want them to.
"Does anyone allow their strict teachings with little margin for interpretation to dictate their every decision?" Yes and no. There's contradictions in strict teachings, so they pick and choose, and then let that dictate their every decision.
"If you reject even one idea or one teaching or a single sentence in your religious scripture, how can you say that you belong to that particular faith?" Because in English, when a person adheres to a religion, it doesn't imply they strictly follow every single scripture. That kind of follows by scriptures being open to interpretation.
Being a scriptural literalist isn't required for someone to belong to a certain religion. Adhering to the main tenets of the religion is what defines their religion. I'm from Missouri, but I once lived in Colorado for a little bit.
Does that mean I "no longer fall under the particular title" of Missourian? There are religious people, there is just some inherent hypocrisy in religion.
The religious era in the world was about 2000 years ago... The world was a totally different place, life was cheap and death was a common occurrence. Maybe look into modern era religions... Scientology? Note that I am not a Sientologist... it's just a suggestion.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
