I've been having trouble with my photo editing software. Whenever I open a set of pictures, some of them display as being sideways. When I rotate them, they look right on my computer, but when I upload them to auctiva, they are sideways.
Sometimes other people see them as sideways, sometimes others see them correct... What is going on! I was using infranview (I think). I've tried Photoscape, and have had the same problem.

Photo software takes lots of memory in RAM and some additional memory in your hard drive. Do you have a robust co9mputer? Usually the problem shows up in slow processing and blue screens, not sidewise pictures.
Are you saving them after you edit them? That makes a difference. Your software may display upright without saving an upright image.
I have the same thing with IRFAN but only once in a while. I have let it go as an incomplete save. I am not familar with Photoscape, but the incomplete save is my best explanation.
That said, when it does happen, I straighten again. I have never had one fail twice.
When I make the change, it appears wrong on auctiva, and some people see it wrong... I doubt it is an Incomplete save. There has to be something going on. Some adjustment being made... No software should have this much trouble... dejapooh 10 months ago .
Most low end photoeditors use an algorithm to turn the photos (rotate) and this algorithm distorts or actually reduces the purity of the image. It is generally a bad idea to rotate an image. Infraview is a great program and doing the responsible thing. It knows it has a faulty rotate algorithm and so it rotates your view of the photo without modifying the photo file itself.
I rotate my photos but not in any of the cheapo programs that come on your desktop or downloads... use GIMP or Photoshop and you are pretty safe doing rotations. Also, only rotate once... don't make multiple rotation adjustments as that can accumalate photo damage. Then again... for most the "damage" is so slight it isn't noticable really.
But if you are pushing the envelope to get to as clear and sharp and as professional an image as possible you limit rotation, do it once if you must, and do it in a high end product that has a good algorithim in it.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
