Gypsy claims that tattoos inside the mouth will not last due to acids in your mouth... but I can't base your answer on her opinion alone. en.allexperts.com/q/Tattoos-3028/2009/7/... Here's some more information I found to back up your claim. The Colorado Springs Gazette says... gazette.com/articles/lip-19898-tattoo-mo... ~quote~ Because they are inside the human mouth, these decorations often don’t last too long.
About 40 percent of lip art will fade after a year, according to Kevin Leblanc, a tattoo artist in Toms River, N.J. That’s because the cells in the mouth regenerate faster than those on the external skin. ~end quote~ The entire story in the Gazette gives you a good feel for the cost, pain and background if you're interested in getting one of these on your 'inner' flesh. I would just look at it as a semi-permanent tattoo.
Everyone's mouth is different and some might last longer than others. Maybe if it's closer to the outside of the lip it would last longer, but then it defeats the purpose of having a 'private' tattoo.
Check out BMEZine. Between this source, and talking to my tattoo artist during a couple dozen hours of work (a source I clearly can't post), I've found it really seems to depends on the person. I've heard of several account of them not even taking at all, wearing out within a couple hours.
Other people seem to be able to hold on to them with no fading whatsoever. I think it depends a lot on how your teeth are shaped as well, as friction always wears off tattoos - palms, feet.. even the part of my tattoo under my bra strap is faded significantly more than the rest. I think there isn't much way to tell - it's just risk.
If you have other tattoos, ask your artist to do one next time your in the chair, and you'll likely only have to pay $10 or so. Then, if it fades, no big deal - no one is going to see it if it turns into a faded mess and you can forget about it. I love lip tattoos, because you can get whatever you want and no one ever has to see it if you don't want them to!
BME doesn't seem to have a category set up for it, but you can google.ca/search?q=inner+lip+tattoos+sit... try some of these links. Good luck!
Well, I can tell you that is false since my girlfriend has one for 8 years. Depends on the paint the tattoo maker is using. I can't add any resources for this one.
I tell you from personal experience. Depends on the paint. That's it.
Hope this helps, Vlad.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
