Joe Scarborough despite having been a GOP Congress person has a reputation for having some degree of independence He is also a smart politician who is very well aware that nut jobs like Bachmann, Aikin, Palin, and The Tea Party will eventually destroy the Republicans, and he is right However he is no liberal , nor a knight in shining armour He is a conservative pol who whose pragmatism is in the service of the Party in general.
