JSF Customize validation message for h:selectOneMenu (if nothing selected)?

This is not a "required" error message. This is a "converter" error message. This may appear when the currently selected item does not match the expected type nor any of the options in the list.

The required message will only appear when the currently selected item is null. You're using a string value as first item. This is not convertible to an enum.

You need to set it as item label with a null item value.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
