I support unions and collective bargaining but choose to look at every situation, not a party line, and support what looks like a good solution.
If it will save money, why not? Unions are part of what created a solid foundation for the USA, but are also corrupt. Pensions are a nice idea but not sure they are sustainable.
I support people getting what they were promised, but can't say I believe new hires should be promised pensions in the future. We need to address things problem by problem not just whether Democrats or Republicans are doing. That's not working and it's dysfunctional theater that is keeping the status quo in place and bankrupting us.
Because they've been on that program and have paid nothing for those benefits.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
