No, there are zero real world viruses for Mac OS X (there were for OS 8 and OS 9) When there is a virus and the antivirus software has time to react to it, then is the time to start running antivirus software. All you are doing at the moment by running antivirus software for the Mac is slowing it down. There IS Mac malware out there - trojans, phishing scams, etc, but antivirus software won't help with that, they depend on the user making a mistake.
ClamXAV is a popular free antivirus software for the Mac - it is very slow. VirusBarrier X5 from Intego is a paid app which is faster with a slicker user interface. If you run Windows on your Mac, either in Boot Camp or under virtualization, then you do need antivirus software on the Windows side.
I like AVG Free.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
