Ask your doctor. He give you the correct advice.

If you like walking w/o pain avoid the surgery. Wrap knee with self adhesive ace bandage and elevate. Try not to put weight on it to avoid further injury.

One week off and then go to a physical therapist to assist you with adding weight to the knee and no injury .

Very reasonable question.

3 It depends on the amount of tear and where it is in the cartilege. Very often a few weeks is fine, but don't be surprised if, a year or two down the road, the torn piece actually tears more or becomes totally torn off and, in either case, needs to be removed. If you have seen your doctor, and it sounds like you have, you best indicator is pain and tenderness.

If you are not moving normally in a couple of weeks, then see your doctor again. He may want to do a quick bit (in and out in one day) of out-patient surgery to remove the offending bit of cartilege. A number of years ago my daughter's boyfriend was teaching me how to flip a kayak right side up if it capsized. It requires a mighty heave and I did tear a cartilege in my right knee (I already have a total knee replacement in my left!

). I knew what I had done immediately and did not see a doctor. In about a week I was moving quite normally and it was not until two or three years later I must have twisted it or maybe it was just a matter of time, because the pain returned with a bit of ferocity. Then they went in through three tiny holes in my skin and got the little bit of flapping cartilege out.

I was walking (a little gingerly at first) without crutches before two days were up.So either way, it's really your call on this thing. The pain should go down initially but may flare up later. Take it easy and see how it goes.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
