Didn't she live with a man outside of marriage (or "in sin" as it used to be called.) Gay people didn't persecute her. The courts simply stated she was not doing the job she agreed to take. Her religion or others sexual orientation have nothing to do with it.

BTW, Americans don't like to hear this, but the Bible speaks out much more harshly about adultery and divorce than homosexuality.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
