Ladies, do you dye your hair? Why do you do it and what color is the dye?

My natural hair color is what I can only describe as mousy brown. I dye it platinum blond because blonds have more fun...I've had my hair EVERY color in the rainbow (and yes, I mean purple, pink, green etc) and think I look best as a blond. Yes I dye my hair I dye my hair on occasion because the sun bleaches it unevenly, and I like the conditioners that the dyes come with. My hair is naturally VERY dark brown (almost black) but it gets sunbleached to an orangey red in spots. The dye I use is usually a deep plum (or burgundy) which looks great because I have dark tan/olive skin and it's not so funky that I get looks at work.

I've dyed my hair many colors as well, dark blue and purple being the best. I color my hair too, my natural color is also a very mousy dull brown so I color it sort of like a strawberry golden blond. I do it every month by a hairdresser and I deep treat it once a week to keep it healthy looking. I think platinum blond is a beautiful color and if you can wear it more power to you.

I wear my hair straight just a bit below the shoulder, parted sort of side with bangs and jagged cut around the face, I like the edginess! I'm not as adventurous as you in hair coloring but I wish I was! One of the biggest reasons I color my hair is to disclaimer to cover my gray hair which of course I do not have!.

I do color my hair I do it because I feel better not seeing so much gray hair. I use the lightest golden brown color I can find.

I have been dying my hair since I was 15.... It all started with a product called Sun In. It was back in the 60’s and the cool thing was to have blonde streaks right at the front of long straight. From that moment on I never looked back.

I don’t use dye anymore, because red was so hard to keep up and I caused some real damage to my hair after years of use. I switched to henna about 7 years ago and love it. My hair has never been healthier.It’s shiny and strong.

I use Avigal Auburn Henna, it’s a nice reddish brown shade, added bonus my gray hairs show up as brighter red highlighs. People think I have it done and I have to laugh. I love that I get to sit around with mud on my head for hours while chatting on Askville.

Hair I died it once. I have dark hair and I got blonde highlights and it turned out horrible! I want to do something different to my hair but I am nervous to.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
