Last Wednesday I rec'd an announcement that Michael Moore would be appearing on Larry King Live on CNN on that date. I noted the times the program would be aired and made every attempt to watch the program, but Time Warner Eastern North Carolina did not run even the first broadcast. Instead, Time Warner ran Larry King reruns throughout the evening.

Why would a program that was available on cable stations across the US not be available to viewers in Raleigh, NC? I'd like to know the logic behind this decision because I've been aware of other programming censorship and I'm concerned. Among others programs viewed nationally, last year, WUNC censored the PBS series "Jonathan Miller's Brief story of Disbelief" as well as a segment of BILL MOYERS JOURNAL in which Moyers spoke with Jonathan Miller.

Why is the south afraid to allow people to hear both sides of an issue? What else are we missing? What news do we not hear, and who is making this decision for us?

What if I didn't own a computer? How would I have access to the same information as other Americans? Asked by Anonymous 44 months ago Similar questions: Wednesday rec'd announcement Michael Moore appearing Larry King Live CNN date Society > News.

2 Time Warner claims CNN banned it but the program was shown in east coast and west coast states, I checked the listings. I asked for CNN contact information, an email address, a phone number but they returned my message without it. Why would CNN censor its own show in the south?

And was it excluded in other states as well? Surely people don't want to live in areas where their news is controlled by a pravadesque dicision making group they don't know about.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
