3 I believe the MSM is making a stink about this issue is because of Texas' size that will influence other states to adapt similar curriculum but it's about time the pendulum swung the other way for awhile. So many people are tired of this pol. Correctness hogwash and probably even a few more link it to school shootings, teen pregnancy, or any other of societies current ills that were non-existant 50 or 60 years ago before the 'civil rights era' .
A few more broad-minded school boards allow a more balanced view, suggesting as supplementary texts, your more balanced books, like some of Gore Vidal's historical treatments, and Howie Zinn's wonderful if a bit neccessarily overboard book.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
