Then you want i5. I just returned my lenovo i3 (8gb-500gb) and exchanged it for a samsung i5 (8gb-1tb). The i5 your looking at has a faster processor, more ram, bigger hardrive.

Basically theres gonna be a major difference in speed. If you don't care about speed, stick with the i3. Btw I paid $649 for my i5 and it has a better processor than your dell.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
