I am in the market for enamel covered cast iron cookware. I used it at a friends house and OH MY what a difference. I cannot spend full retail on the Le Crueset brand made in France.
Thanks in advance. Websites, store names, anything would be appreciated. Asked by GrayGirl 40 months ago Similar questions: Le Crueset Cookware purchase discount found decent substitute Food & Drink > Food.

For as substitute, try Lodge. The famous maker of cask iron pans now has a line of enameled cookware too and it runs 1 third to a half of a Le Creuset. We've had one for almost a year now and it is wonderful.
Unfortunately, my wife picked one up that is really more of a soup pot than a Dutch over (even though that is how I use it)-- it has a rounded bottom rather than a flat bottom. It was purchased to replace a no-name Chinese large oval Dutch oven, that also did great service until a large flake came off the bottom after being accidentally overheated or something. I really want a Lodge Oval 7Qt.
You might also check out Cuisinart, Mario Batali and Copco, who also make enameled cast iron. I suggest that you watch your local liquidation outlet (like Tuesday Morning) with a kitchen section for really good prices. Sometimes, manufacturers run clearances on certain colors that are not selling (I gotta think that those lime green pots are gonna go outta style real soon).
Also, don't forget to use the common 20% off coupons at Bed Bath & Beyond and Linens n Things.
Tramontina I have a Le Crueset set, and I also have a Tramontina enameled cast iron 3.5 qt dutch oven that I got at Walmart for $29.97. I think it is just as good as the Le Crueset. Tramontina is recommended by America's Test Kitchen.
Walmart also has a 6.5 qt dutch oven, a 3 qt braiser, and a 12" saute pan. walmart.com/search/search-ng.do?search_c... tantalumgirl's Recommendations Chefmate® 6.5-qt. Cast Iron Casserole Dish - Red Amazon List Price: $59.99 Average Customer Rating: 5.0 out of 5 (based on 1 reviews) .
Le Crueset cookware I have seen Le Crueset stores in the outlet malls. I do not know how much of a discount or how much of a selection there is. Sorry .
1 Le Creuset has some outlets but I doubt if the price is good. "Cook's Illustrated" has recommended some other brands. One is at Target Stores.
I have Le Creuset because I am a SNOB (haven't used it) I visited last week when I was cleaning my cupboards(the one that takes the turn & you have to lay on your belly to get to) I have 7 1/2 9 11 quarts. I can barely lift the 11 qt. Empty without the lid.
There is a bunch of new brands much lighter and much less costly. I would purchasse it as soon as you find it because induction cook tops take cast iron and few other pans.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
