She never was a "guaranteed shoe-in" but she was and still is the most likely nominee. I like Bernie Sanders but an avowed socialist will never be elected President in today's political climate. It is too bad that this is so but it is so.
Perhaps YOU should be wary of "what you are willing to believe", my friend.... Polls can be conducted in such a manner as to deliver the result the pollster desires! You are a grown-up, you should know that! There ARE two "polls" that can be trusted, however....the Election itself (of course!), but also the Bookmakers' odds, which indicate not the punters' PERSONAL politics, necessarily, but who they (intellectually) calculate is going to win.... http://www.oddschecker.com/politics/us-p... Have you ever seen one of those jars full of jelly-beans where you are supposed to guess exactly how many are in there?
The way to WIN that, if you have access to the information, is to bet the AVERAGE of the numbers everyone else has guessed.....nine times out of ten you will be closest to the real number.... The Bookies adjust their offered odds according to the same principle.....so whilst it remains POSSIBLE Sanders will be the candidate, it ALSO remains possible that YOU will be the next President....the odds of you or Bernie are simply far longer! Sanders is at 14-to-1, thus Clinton is FOURTEEN TIMES more likely to be your next Executive, just as she is between three & four times more likely than Bush... We will see... (BTW, I think you meant "shoo-in", not "shoe-in", LOL!) http://grammarist.com/spelling/shoo-in.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
