The Tea Party pointed out that the original Republican candidate was more of a "Democrat" than a republican. They looked at her record and saw that all of her votes were way more left than the Democrat who was running against her. The first Republican candidate dropped out of the race and endorsed the Democrat, showing her true colors.
The Conservative Candidate, Doug Hoffman, entered the race late in the race and did really well for having no political backing and having the both the Dem's and the Repub's campaigning against him until the very end. When the Republican candidate withdrew from the election, her name was still on the ballot, She got 5% of the vote. The late comer, Hoffman, got 46% of the vote.
So in reality, the Tea Party Candidate did quite well. Having no name recognition and no National Support. And entering the race late in the game.
As much as I would love to point and laugh, it is a mistake instead of hoping for the other party to meet with disaster, the Democrats should concentrate on being proud of sticking up for their record so far, and be articulate in explaining their plans for the future that is how to win elections.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
