Looking for a Lifetime movie from the '80s?

All I could remember is this guy on trial or something for beating his wife or girlfriend for years and ends up killing her but the court couldn't find any clues or evidence of the crimes until forensic came and did there thing on the room. They sprayed the room with something that shows where blood was after the area has been clean. The whole room was illuminated from the blood stains that was there over a period of time.
