I am not a professional by any means but I love writing and I love science fiction. I am good at adding to ideas and also love reading, especially when it is non published work. My only work as a writer is through standard schooling, and with free lance writing on the internet. It is not that impressive but I still feel I could be a great help to you.
I am good with character building and even better with dialogue and subtleties My best and most widely available work would be here on mahalo, so you can ask others around here if they think I am good enough. I just recently wrote a Sci Fi short story for @cheapgamer here is the link: mahalo.com/answers/sci-fi-coffee-house-a... My answer is second to last. The last thing that makes me confident I could help you greatly is my ability to know exactly why I do or do not like something.
I will never say simply "that's good" or "that's bad" it is not in my nature. Every opinion I have has a very detailed explanation, especially when it comes to literature. I have been hired for odd jobs like this one before and have always left the person satisfied, I have written essays, business plans, and done all sorts of proofreading.
I am very versatile with my writing skills, if I must say so myself. Also I proofread and occasionally write for this website. grscreamer.com/columns.
Cheapgamer here weighing in at 20+ years of interactive storytelling through role playing games. I am a history buff with a love of creating fantasy and sci-fi worlds from near future Cyberpunk to Space Opera. I am a muse who has launched and participated in short story challenges winning the super hero challenge.(stories furnished upon request.) One of my best friends / honorary sister is a proofreader with years of experience, a sharp eye, and a love of Sci-Fi.
My wife, a Nanowrimo winner, has been writing for as long as she could remember she became quite popular in fan fiction but eventually left it behind to work on several projects including a Sci-Fi and Fantasy novel. Another very close friend is working with publishers for her first YA novel after successfully writing for Grumble Magazine and Whitewolf .. . Now I bet you are wondering why I am creating a super team instead of focusing on myself.
That is simple, a small team could give you the benefit of multiple perspectives. With modern tech and the internet it would be easy to create a functional group through google docs or yahoo groups to look at and suggest edits for you. Now this was just an example as I am not sure how available my personal super team is, but I encourage you to create your own.
You will find a very strong group of creative writers on Mahalo and by mining the writing challenges you could find people with a style that will compliment your own.
Currently, I have over 11 years in freelance writing experience as well as editing with a local new writer's group. I would love to have you take a look at my website and see if I am the person you are looking for. My website is imogenrayne.net and I believe I can help you with your writing goals.
Thanks for considering me, but if I am not able to help I do have others who I can put you in touch with.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
