Looking for MP3 "Desktop" player I can connect to stereo. Best if it could connect to my wifi network too. Now that I have transferred all my CD's to my computer and thus network, what's the best device to connect to my stereo so I have all my music.
A nice interface like on my iPhone or iTunes would be great too. Any suggestions? Sure I can connect my iPod but prefer to have a permanent box connected there.

2 Route the audio signal from your laptop (wirelessly through your intranet) to your desktop which is connected via RCA jack directly to your stereo. Asside: Use an older stereo, converting back to analog, i.e. If your stereo has a phonograph hook-up- it'll sound better- especially if you spend $200 on a pair of two 3-way Technics floor speakers. It's got a built-in 12" sub, 6" or 7" mid and a 1 1/2" coax tweeter.
10" subs sound tinny. 12" subs sound just right. Model SB-CR77.

One end has a single RCA plug-in and the other has the red and white plug-in's that usually go to the back of your stereo. You may need to buy an RCA extention cord for lack of a better term. It's just a long length of RCA (no red or white connectors, just an RCA single jack at one end and an RCA female connector at the other end)en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RCA_connector .
