Looking for the title of a book about a man who marries a poor girl onaboat to new york (historical romance) I cant remember the whole plot but it goes long these linesA girl (very beautiful and in sad circumstances) is on a boat to New York when a rich passenger asks her to marry him as his father is dying and he cant go back without a wife. This man might be called Alexander. He has actually tricked her into marrying him as he doesn't want to be forced into marrying someone that his mother has chosen for him.

The captain marries them even though he is unsure about it all. He is from a massively wealthy family and the girl is snubbed by all family and friends. Not sure what happens but ultimately they end up very much in love and happy :) I think she may have a little boy but im not sure!

I have been trying to find this book for ages. I read it about 8-10 years ago and for some reason it keeps popping into my head. If anyone can help I would be really grateful!Thanks.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
