Men & women - which enjoys sex more?

If it was strictly for our pleasure, then go ahead and have at it with your dog while you're at it. But if God's reason was something beyond our own pleasure, perhaps we should try to understand that. One of the obvious reasons was for procreation of the human race.

And with that procreative ability comes the responsibility to nurture those children in the home with a mother and father. That is God's clear design for the family. The second reason was to create intimacy between the husband and the wife.

Anyone who has ever been married will testify to the sometimes enormous psychological differences between men and women. And were it not for the sexual bond, most couples would drift apart in a matter of weeks. But this bond serves as a point of contact where the partners call fulfill one another's needs in a god honoring way.

It is pleasurable because God created it to be - and that should tell us that He is indeed no cosmic killjoy by any stretch of the imagination. But just because it is a pleasurable gift does not mean that we can abuse it any way we see fit. And homosexual sex does not fulfill any of God's designs for His human creation and is in fact an affront to Him because it places our own pleasure seeking above honoring His created designs.

The sexual "morality" described in the bible is an aggressive population growth strategy which served the early Hebrews well during the population explosion following the Agricultural Revolution (ie, Fall of Adam and Eve: http://www.noonespecial.ca/adam-and-eve ). The strategy can be summarized with the following: If you're horny, make babies. The strategy may have been necessary at the time and it certainly worked (considering we're still talking about it, we are after all their cultural descendants.) but strategies of course are about pragmatism not rightness or wrongness.

It shouldn't be too difficult to realize that we're living in very different times now and the situation is very different. We're overpopulated yet our population is still growing exponentially. We're in a period of mass extinction not seen since the fall of the dinosaurs and we're causing it.

We don't need more people. It's 2011. The strategies the early Hebrews used aren't going to work for us so we have to come up with something different.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
