" "Happy Holidays?" Which do you prefer? Call me old-fashioned and..... politically incorrect (I am and proud of it!
), but "Merry Christmas" works best for me......and that's what I always tell the checkout clerks at the store when they wish me a "Happy Holidays." Asked by OldppieHatesNewAV 17 days ago Similar questions: Merry Christmas Season's Happy Holidays prefer Call old fashioned Society > Holidays.

I like Merry Christmas as well. I do the same thing when wished Happy Holidays by store clerks. Frankly I don't think they even notice but it makes me feel better.
:) .
Any greeting is fine with me. It's the spirit that counts, and the courtesy of a greeting. I also don't care if someone says "Happy Hannukah" or "Happy Kwanza."
And on the 21st I'll be wishing all my friends a Happy Solstice - the original Pagan holiday that Christians piggybacked their Christmas upon (which is fine with me - the more the merrier~! ). I find it ironic that some people bristle at "Happy Holidays" - a greeting that is intended to be all inclusive and promote tolerance.(I guess the thought of tolerance makes some people intolerant, lol.)I celebrate Christmas, but as a secular holiday; and I celebrate the Solstice as a spiritual holiday.
I try to do something for Hanukkah as a nod to my hubby's roots, like make lattkes - nom nom.
I was brought up saying Merry Christmas and I will always say it. I am a Catholic and I keep Christ in Christmas, but, it is also traditional.
Definitely "Merry Christmas"! I'll join you in political un-correctness if that's what it is! .
Merry Christmas.........after all, it is the Christmas season.
Merry christmas! I work retail and Im not technically supposed to say merry christmas im supposed to say happy holidays. I prefer merry christmas and I like it when customers say it to me because then I don't have to say happy holidays for the 100th time in a day.Jpg.
Merry Christmas, which is also what my Jewish friends say to me.
Merry Christmas" is the one I'm comfortable with, after all, it began with Christ and that's what it ought to be about. To say Happy Holidays sounds like going on a holiday, a vacation somewhere, so if you're travelling then it's appropriate. And Season's Greetings belongs on Christmas cards.
;-) .
All are ok. Jesus was not really born this time of year...maybe in Spring. Holidays is too general maybe.
Just a smile/friendly would be appreciated.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
