I had a problem with a loud obnoxious neighbor. Grab a video camera or something, record the time, and the noise. Call the police, let them know.

Play them the tape. Get police reports, and present those to the apartment manager. There are laws that mean noise has to end at a certain time (usually around 10 or 10:30).

Tell teh police that you have reported her to the manager with no results. Tell teh manager EVERY TIME it happens and you call the cops. Don't hesitate to call either one.

If you are paying rent, you deserve to be able to sleep at night. Make sure you write down days and times. Keep a good record of everything.

If after a few times of reporting to both the police and the apartment manager, the apartment manager still won't do anything, find out a number to call to contact your local housing authority, they can help you get results. Good luck.

The only thing you can do is go downstairs to her apartment and politely ask that she keep the noise down as you have a young daughter and you are trying work. If she refuses and becomes rude tell her that she is not the only one in the building and everybody else has a life too and that its unfair on everybody else. If all else fails call the cops and file a noise complaint or round up all the neighbours to have a little chat with her!

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
