Sorry, but I disagree. I am not an Obama supporter and am not particularly excited by Mr. Romney either, but I do know we can not afford another four years of Obama lack of leadership in this country or in the world. You sound as if you think these big corporations don't do anything that helps the average Joe or Jane.

They are mega corporations because they produce a product or perform a service that everyone wants to buy and they DO employ people too. Yes, they make money...but what's wrong with them doing that? As to the bank bailouts, I was not upset with those either because I understand that my little hometown bank gets most of its loan money from those big banks...and if they don't have it, then when my farmer neighbors or the local hardware store wants to take out a loan to buy inventory or to put in a crop, they won't get it.

It all rolls down hill in this global economy....and those of us who must rely on our credit worthiness to survive year to year must have it available. The problem with the bailouts was not the fact that the government shored up those banks. It was the fact that they didn't attach any strings to the money but let the big banks do whatever they saw fit with it.

Well, they used it to make more money instead of sending it down the line to the little banks. Loan availability went down the tubes and my neighborhood hardware was not able to expand and hire and my farmer neighbor had to seek higher interest loans from a bigger bank that was willing to take the risk. Even the housing crisis would not have been as bad as it was if the government had stayed out of things in the first place.

Doesn't matter if they are conservatives or liberals, who the heck every said that everyone in the country should be able to buy a house? That is just plain stupid. If you can't afford to buy a house and make the mortgage payments plus interest, then you shouldn't be signing the papers.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
