My 15 (almost 16) year old daughter wants a belly button piercing?

I just got my belly button pierced 5 weeks ago and Im 21 years old. I have been wanting to do I since I was 11 when I saw these two 11 yr old girls at the pool, their mother was a piercer and did their belly buttons. Honey, if a navel piercing is all you have to worry about, I think your in good shape.

I don't think a navel piercing is a big deal at all. If thats the only thing she wants done, then let her do it. I don't think it symbolizes a trashy girl at all, it's just style.

If you were her age and had a great body and all your friends were getting it done, wouldn't you want to get it done too?

I think that you should let her get it done for a number of reasons. To start you made her a deal that if she raised her grades to all A's she could get it done. Now to get your grades up from D's and F's to A's and one B+ is ALOT of work and dedication.

Let's just flip the tables here, if she went back on the deal and got it done with her grades still low, how would you feel? If your not going to let her do it, it may cause more problems for the future, and I know I don't know you or your family, but she may not trust things you say in the future. Your daughter sounds like a real star around the house, and clearly has and manages responsibility I can see with what you have written.

Now, I know for one that belly piercings don't symbolize a trashy girl, they are art and your daughter wanting to express her self through this is maybe her way of feeling independent and mature. I know a lot of young girls that have them done, and there are probably a lot more that I don't of as they do not get shown unless in a swimming costumes for example. I really do believe you should let her get it done, she has clearly worked hard for this, and you could get her to save up for it, or clean the car etc. to work for it.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
