Embarrassing as this is, I was the same way until age 13. Mine was because I had an undersized bladder(and still do) which I had to have surgically stretched throughout my lifetime several times. I will say it is the most painful surgery I have ever had, and I do not wish this on any child, so I hope this is not the case with your son.
I would def. Go see a urologist though, as they would be more concerned about your son's needs than most gp's. Also, blood sugar issues could be causing this as well.
Or even some form of trauma(it could be psychological,) there are many many issues it could be. I wish there was one simple awnser but unfortunately there isn't. Also, there is some kind of nasal spray that was given to me, that worked for a very long time that helps with being able to get through the day and night with no accidents.
I don't remember the name, but you should ask about it. As I said, it's a nasal spray and the only thing that worked for me(and I tried all the pills, etc.) Also, I know it is frustrating and horrible sometimes for you(as it is for your son) but please, understand that in 99% of cases, it is not something that can be helped, and "punishment"(as used on me) isn't going to solve the problem. It is embarrassing and degrading to be told you can't have something to drink past 6pm or whatever time, when you are thirsty.
I would try the depends(or something similar) and a plastic mattress cover to protect the mattress until you can see the doctor. Good luck and tell that poor baby it's not his fault. I have been there and know how horrible it is.
:(.
You should take him to the doctors to get a check up as he should have full bladder control. In the mean time limit the amount of drink he has before bed and make him use the toilet right before he goes to bed, during the day remind him to go to the toilet regularly. If he tries to hold it in for a short time and cant then he may have bladder control problems.
Good luck.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
