That's because turtles don't play, they're not toys. If you want a pet that tolerates handling well than get a mammal, the turtle prefers if you didn't touch him & left him alone in his enclosure. Handling should only be done when necessary like when you clean the tank.
Not to mention, he swims in his own poop & pee he's pretty much covered in salmonella & you don't want that kind of bacteria all over your floor. Think of them like fish you can pick up.
Let him be in his cage for like a few days without too much interaction so he can adjust he will soon see you as a care taker bc of the food you put in his cage slowly but surely he will start to trust you it just takes time and I've had turtles in the past they don't act like dogs....
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
