My doctor told me that I have HPV, high risk, but there are no symptoms. Should I tell my partner? I have no symptoms... I do wear protection and my doctor says this will clear up.Is there any need to alarm my partner?

Of Course It is very contagious. Many have it and don't even know. I bet your partner would trust you a lot more if you were honest than find out later, after they may have contracted it from you.
Ding a STD is one of the worst things someone can do to another. HPV types can cause cervical cancer and other less common cancers, such as cancers of the vulva, vagina, anus, and penis. The types of HPV that can cause genital warts are not the same as the types that can cause cancer.
Since you stated your "high risk" that type does cause cancer. AND many of these cancers do not show up in women until they are in advanced stages. Look on the bright side In 90% of cases, the body’s immune system clears the HPV infection naturally within two years.
This is true of both high-risk and low-risk types.
If you LOVE your partner, yes. HPV is permanent and has no cure. Tell him or her, right away.

HIV I would think that you would automatically tell him. Why should he find out like you did? I would think out of respect you would tell him.
Evan wearing protection, obviously things can still get through. If roles were reveased, wouldn't you want to know? Yes, tell you partner. EVEN with protection, there is still a risk. It's an STD, you must tell your partner.
HPV can be transmitted between outbreaks. Put yourself in your partner's shoes, how would you feel if your partner didn't tell you? The answer is absolutely.
AND, you need to tell any future partner, as well.

Women can be more susceptible to all kinds of cervical cancer and stuff from hpv infection. Its a virus, it DOES NOT GO AWAY. Its going to be with you always.
If you're female, you should still disclose. This is one of the things where simply using condoms cannot keep you from infecting others. In fact, there can even be hpv transmission from sharing towels at the pool.
If your doctor did not tell you that it can be spread through ANY contact, they are being negligent. You need to disclose to your partner. Period.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
