Hello Thank you for the question. My guess from your story is that this lump is a "Meibomian cyst," also called a "Chalazion." I'm afraid there is no common name.
These are caused by a little tube from a lubricating gland, getting blocked inside the eyelid. It is not serious, although they can sometimes become infected. But they do tend to get bigger gradually, and not to go away by themselves.
You don't mention any pain, soreness or redness, so if is probably not any sort of boil or abscess. A Meibomian cyst is a common enough thing, and an ordinary family doctor is usually fine for this. If he or she agrees this is what it is, then he may refer you to an Eye doctor, - an Ophthalmologist, - because a Meibomian cyst often needs draining out from the inner side of the eyelid.
There is really no other effective treatment for it, - although you can try applying mild heat to the eyelid through a hot flannel. I suggest you might like to search on "Meibomian Cyst" and look at some pictures, to see if that looks like what you have. Pretty much the only Dermatological things with eyes, are the two conditions called "Seborrhoeic marginal blepharitis," and "Rosacea," and this is not one of those.
Hope this helps. Best wishes Belliger retired uk GP.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
