Try asking them if you can cook dinner for the family once a week. They can supervise, but they can also see that you can research a recipe and try it out. Then start packing your own lunches for school.
Again, research what's healthy. Prepare it yourself. Also, make your bed and do your own laundry.
All these things will show them that you're independent. After this, explore taking an after-school class. Do it with a legitimate organization.
It can be band or theater at school, or Boys & Girls Clubs. That gets you away from your parents and you learn some skill sets, too. If your school has Academic Decathalon, join it.
You might have to wait for high school, though. It means studying after school with other kids, so it gets you out of the house. You should read up on "helicopter parents."

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
