Just tell your friend that she smells you her friend you not a stranger so tell her I would appreciate it if my friend tells me something awkward about me yes I'd find it embarrassing that they told me but rather them than anybody else. Take her shopping say that you want some bathing essentials tag her along and while shopping get her to try what you use make it a friend thing...and the dog and bugs thing yea tell her to stop with that. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
