Mine is doing exactly the same thing. I have a figure eight puffer. I have only see himdoing it twice though.
I was also worrying that he might be sick but after reading a lot of blogs on puffers this is something that alot of puffers do. Most of the articles I have read say that it is how they sleep. A couple say it could be caused by stress, so if you have any other fish in the tank watch out for any bullying behaviour.
It could also be caused by the wrong balance in the water. Just to be safe we put some chemicals in the tank to lower the nitrates and phospherous levels. This actually seemed to perk him right up but it also could have just woken him up.
It might be worth putting a levels checking stick in the water to check the chemical balances but to be honest I am more inclined to think that it is just how they sleep. Better safe than sorry though. More.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
