My hidden files in windows xp are not displayed, after selecting "show all files and folders" wats the reason?

Everything is going fine in my windows, some days ago I hide a folder in a window. Now when I want to show it, it is not displayed by the windows. Kindly help me to resolve this problem.

Use your folder options: Open Control Panel->Folder Options, and select the View tab. Change your settings as shown (you must have administrative rights to do this): Note that the option to Show hidden files and folders is on, Display the contents of system folders is on, and the option to de protected operating system files is off. Not sure what would cause this some of the time, and not others, but you can... go back into your control pannel, then folders, then click on the view tab. There, deslect, hide extensions of known file types. This should allow you to see the files you want.

If you continue to have problems, go back into the same folder view, and click onthe Restore Defaults button. THEN go back and try your folders, see what you see! .

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
