My laptop has VGA and S-video plugs....have it hooked to TV....put TV input on appropriate mode, but nothing?

My laptop has VGA and S-video plugs....have it hooked to TV....put TV input on appropriate mode, but nothing.... Nothing happens. The TV says it is not receiving any signal. How do you get the video signal going.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
