Section it off so you can rotational graze. Also section off a small area as a sacrifice paddock that they can beat up when the weather's bad so they won't damage your pastures so badly.

6 acres is enough year round grazing for two horses if it's good quality grazing.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
