My new poodle who is about 8 mos. old is very possesive of me and will growl and show her teeth and?

Poodles can be very possesive of their owners, and over protective. They actually make wonderful guard dogs, despite their "sissy" appearance. I have owned my Standard for 8 years, and he's wonderful.

But if he thinks someone is hurting me, he will growl and show his teeth in order to protect me. (He scared my father to death when he was tickling me the one night. Haha) Besides this, he is always friendly and loving, and has never growled at anyone besides instances which I just covered.

Poodles are very smart animals. They were used by the airforce at one time because of their intelligence level. The AKC has ranked them the second smarted breed out of over 200 dog breeds. As a result, they need to be stimulated.

Give her "puzzles", such as stuffing peanut butter into a Kong so she has to work to get it out. This may help to take her mind off of you for a little while.

Poodles are very smart and at 8 mos old they can already find that bond, now that you have that bond with her, now give here a job. Like a ball or a tug a war type toy. Question though does she show her teeth and growl well on the leash or both on and off.

Usually poodles are caring dogs, Or you got really bad people around you. Good luck.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
