My only income was FIP grant from the state (cash assistance) for me and my son. Do I have to file?

You will not qualify for the EIC, as that is only available to those who earn the tax credit by working. Go to this website:irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=96623And answer the questions...it will tell you if you must file federal taxes, direct from the IRS. Good luck.

I'm unfamiliar w/ that. If there's no x-tra then I wouldn't think filing taxes would be necessary, because there's just no x-tra $$$ there, like ssi & other incomes like it. I'd wait it out.

If the irs contacts u, then speak w/ them. Ssi earns only 674. If you don't get that much, then no I wouldn't file (if it's only monthly) fixed income from the govt isn't even taxable because there's barely enough 2 survive.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
