1 I think you need to talk with him. Only he knows what your teeth looked like before, during and after your braces. My daughter had to have her braces put back on to move the teeth around some more and it was worth it.
Unfortunately, this isn't something that can be answered without seeing all that has been done to get where you are. If you don't feel that you can go back to your orthodontist to discuss it, maybe you could get a second opinion. (And rabbits are beautiful!) :0) .

My orthodontist told me that my teeth can shift. Matter of fact, my teeth did shift to the point that I was experiencing a painful bite, so I got that taken care of. My bite is fine now and no more pain.
I faithfully wear my retainers at night. All this to say that, at 50 odd years old, I got my teeth straightened. My orthodontist told me that my teeth will continue to shift a bit as I age, that it's normal and that most people's do.
If that's the case, and I believe it is, then I believe that an orthodontist should be able to adjust your bite so that it works better for you. The whole point of getting teeth straightened, at least at my age, was to have a healthy mouth that worked for me and didn't hurt. You are obviously experiencing some difficulty.
Perhaps a visit to a different orthodontist is in order. If it were me, I'd visit my dentist, or another professional who knows me and that I trust, and explain what's happened, and ask if he/she can recommend an orthodontist. If you live in a big city, you might want to consider visiting an orthodontist affiliated with a school of orthodontia.
I am sorry this has happened to you. It's good to know that you will continue to seek help until you get a comfortable, workable bite for you.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
