This will sound weird... But try putting texas pete or red devil hot sauce on it. When they taste it, they won't like it. They'll learn not to eat it because it will be hot.

Ive tried it, and it works. I did that on a rott, and he got pretty mad after tasting the hot sauce, so eh...depending on how agressive your dogs are, they may get mad.
